I have read countless interviews with successful women and men who claim that having a morning routine makes all the difference in how successful that day turns out to be. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text _builder_version="3.0.53" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" border_style="solid"] Maybe there is something to be learned here. If you want to be successful in your relationships, your professional life, and even in your weight loss goals, you need to start planning for that success from the moment you wake up until you fall asleep at night. I know what a lot of you are probably saying right now, "Listen I'm more of a night owl. Mornings just aren't my thing. Just give me my cup of coffee so no one get's hurt." Maybe that's how you feel right now, but what if you could become a morning person? How would it feel heading out to work already knowing you checked 5 goals off your list today? That would be pretty amazing, right? If you think that sounds good, too, keep reading. Sleep

First, get better sleep. I know you're probably thinking that has nothing to do with your morning. But actually, it has everything to do with your morning. There is no way you will ever roll out of bed restful and happy to check off your goal list if you just stayed up until 1 a.m. watching tv or skimming the internet. Take control of your evening and give your body the sleep it deserves. I cannot stress this enough, if you don't have adequate sleep, there will be no waking up on the right side of the bed. Believe me, every time I would read another interview with someone saying that starting the day by waking up at 4 a.m. changed her life, I was all on board to do the same. But that excitement lasted until the alarm actually went off at 4 a.m. the next morning. I would hit snooze and think, "Well, maybe tomorrow." Unfortunately, I was trying to make something happen that my body couldn't possibly be ready for without the proper support. So if you are ready to change your life by changing your mornings, make sure you give it a full chance by preparing yourself with a good, restful sleep the night before. Create a Routine

Ask yourself, in a perfect world, what would I accomplish in the morning? Would you make an interesting breakfast? Would you go to the gym? Would you go for a run? Would you pack tasty lunches? Would you sit down and write a chapter for that book you've always wanted to write? The best part about mornings is that it can be "you" time. Before other people in the home start waking up, you can have the time that you need to do whatever you want. It really is a gift. How often do you have time just dedicated to you and whatever you want to do? Have you always wanted to be a baker? Mornings could be your time to bake in an uninterrupted kitchen. Have you always wished you had more time to read something for fun or even write in a journal? Mornings are a quiet time for you to have all to yourself. Sit down with a piece of paper and a pencil. Ask yourself what your perfect morning would look like and start making an ideal list. Then figure out how much time you would need to allow for each item on your list. Now, based on what time you need to be heading out the door for work, walk backwards through your morning routine adding in the ideal components, along with the things you have to do every morning. When you have your routine and the times needed, see what time you would need to get up to fit it all in. That is your morning wakeup goal. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type="2_3"][et_pb_text _builder_version="3.0.53" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" border_style="solid" custom_margin="-40px|||"]

Add 30

If that last point made your eyes bug out. Don't fret. You might have realized that you would have to get up at 4 a.m. every morning to hit everything on your perfect routine. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type="1_3"][et_pb_image _builder_version="3.0.53" show_in_lightbox="off" url_new_window="off" use_overlay="off" sticky="off" align="left" always_center_on_mobile="on" border_style="solid" force_fullwidth="on" src="https://blog.lexapure.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/sanah-suvarna-161883.jpg" /][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_blurb _builder_version="3.0.53" url_new_window="off" use_icon="off" use_circle="off" use_circle_border="off" icon_placement="top" use_icon_font_size="off" background_layout="light" border_style="solid" animation="top" use_border_color="on" border_color="#666666" custom_margin="15px||15px|" custom_padding="10px||10px|"]

What if you could become a morning person?

[/et_pb_blurb][et_pb_text _builder_version="3.0.53" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" border_style="solid" custom_padding="15px|||"] Well, guess what, countless other people have made it happen and with a little dedication you can make it happen, too. But don't take too big of a bite out of your morning just yet. Start slow. Make it a goal to set your alarm 30 minutes earlier or even 15, if 30 seems too much at first. If you've already prepared yourself with a good night of sleep and a morning routine that you're excited about, waking up earlier won't seem like a chore. But if hitting snooze is a bit of a habit, move your alarm out of arm's reach. Remember that goal you set for your perfect wake up time? That's the end goal. Keep adding 30 minutes to your wake up time until you reach it. Maybe you add 30 minutes this week and add another 30 minutes next week. The point isn't to make it all happen by tomorrow, you want the goal to be achievable and sustainable. Adding too quickly makes it far easier to give up quickly. But if you build it slowly into your schedule, you might find it easier to embrace as a longterm lifestyle. That's it! Utilize those 3 simple steps to make your morning into the best part of your day. If you need inspiration, look up other people's morning routines. Who do you admire? What does his or her morning look like? You can even enlist a friend to keep you accountable. Here is my ideal morning routine: (in bed with lights out by 9:30pm) 5 a.m. - Wake up. Drink a glass of water. 5:05 a.m. - Meditate and prayer for 15 minutes. 5:20 a.m. - Make and drink a healthy smoothie. 5: 30 a.m. - Walk for 30 minutes outside. 6 a.m. - Strength training or yoga for 15 minutes. 6:15 a.m. - Eat a quick protein rich snack after workout. 6:20 a.m. - Shower and dress. 6:50 a.m. - Sit down to write out goals for the day. (Visualize those goals happening.) 7 a.m. - Write in my journal, including list of gratitude. 7:10 a.m. - Read a chapter in a book. 7:30 a.m. - Preparing breakfast for family. This schedule would best fit what I want to do and accomplish by the time I need to be preparing my family for their morning routines. As you can see, I added what time I would need to be in bed with lights out (not in bed scrolling internet or reading a book) in order to have at least 7 1/2 hours of sleep. Mornings give us a promise of success. If you want to lose weight, mornings can be the time for exercise and preparing healthy meals. Do you want to have another career? Use your mornings to take a class online or work on a blog or read up on the topic you want to pursue. Mornings can be whatever you want to make them. So why waste them? Take back your morning and change your life in the process.     [/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label="You May Also Like..." _builder_version="3.0.53" background_layout="light" text_orientation="left" text_text_color="#969696" border_style="solid"]
